FIELD: special-purpose structure utilization, particularly to demount vertical metal reservoirs destined for oil and similar product storage.

SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning inner reservoir surface; cutting reservoir wall into separate fragments and stacking the fragments. Wall is cut into rectangular fragments along reservoir belts beginning from upper belt. Through technological orifices are drilled in corners of rectangular fragment to be separated. Then the fragment is fixed with lift-and-carry means and cutting cable is inserted in reservoir through one lower technological orifice. Cable passes outwards through technological orifices adjoining previous one in horizontal direction and the cable is reeved in cable machine. The cable machine is secured to outside reservoir wall surface. Comb structure with cooling liquid spraying nozzles is mounted along tightening cutting cable. The nozzles are adapted to supply cooling liquid to cutting cable. Comb structure operation is coordinated with that of cable machine. Horizontal cut is then created. Another horizontal cut and two vertical cuts are carried out in the same way through upper technological orifices. After that lift-and-carry means remove and stack separated rectangular fragment. Above operations are repeated for next reservoir fragment up to total reservoir demounting.

EFFECT: provision of remote reservoir demounting operation control and prevention of spark formation.
