FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pneumohydraulic amplifiers and drives of press-forging equipment. Proposed method includes two successive stages. First stage is operation of amplifier at low pressure when compressed air acts onto working liquid in rod space of power cylinder, with the latter hydraulically communicating with piston space of working cylinder. Second stage is operation of amplifier at high pressure with compressed air delivery into piston space of power cylinder whose rod space is simultaneously connected with atmosphere and hydraulic communication is closed. Compressed air acts onto working liquid through intermediate medium. Said intermediate medium is made in form of diaphragm or liquid not mixing with working liquid, or ring plate and bellows connected to each other.
EFFECT: increased speed of response of drive, enlarged sphere of its application.
