SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of dehydration of the water-containing material such as the sediment. The indicated water-containing material add to the material, which includes the quantity of the partially dry sphagnum plants collected from the upper layer of the swamp, that is the part, which contains the alive plant material, and admix with it. Then the mixed material is exposed to the treatment by drying. The technical result of the invention is the increase of the effectivization of the traditional methods of treatment of such materials, such as composting and burning.
