FIELD: crop growing.
SUBSTANCE: inventions belong to the field of plant growing, landscape design and forestry. Method for obtaining substrate structures for growing plants containing Sphagnum moss, includes steps of: preparing at least one foamed dispersion by dispersing moss particles comprising Sphagnum moss in a mixture comprising water and at least one foaming agent, conveying the foamed dispersion or dispersions to a foraminous support and draining liquid through the foraminous support to form a web, and drying the web. Structure of a substrate for growing plants, comprising Sphagnum moss, contains from 45 wt% to 99.9 wt% moss particles, containing Sphagnum moss, from 0.001 wt% to 5 wt% of at least one foaming agent, and has water retention ranging from 20 vol% to 45 vol%, and density in the range of 10 kg/m3 up to 250 kg/m3. Use of the substrate structure for growing plants comprising Sphagnum moss, in applied problems related to crop production, landscape design and forestry.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to simplify the production of permanently operating flexible structures of substrates for growing plants and to increase their efficiency.
