FIELD: enamel compositions.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to enamel compositions used for coating articles made of cast iron and steel. Proposed enamel comprises the following components, wt.-%: SiO₂, 38.0-42.0; B₂O₃, 23.0-28.0; K₂O, 6.0-10.0; NiO, 1.0-2.0; Fe₂O₃, 1.0-2.0; Al₂O₃, 1.0-2.0; CaO, 6.0-10.0; MgO, 2.0-6.0; Cr₂O₃, 0.5-1.5; CoO, 0.5-1.5, and SrO, 6.0-10.0. Invention provides enhancing spreading, luster and impact strength of enamel.
