FIELD: ceramics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engobe used in manufacturing rough ceramics. Proposed engobe comprises the following components, wt.-%: white-burning clay, 15.0-25.0; broken glass, 10.0-30.0; borax, 13.5-15.5; sodium tripolyphosphate, 0.3-0.5; faience crocks, 16.0-24.0; talc, 10.0-15.0, and zinc oxide, 10.0-15.0. Invention provides solid, luster surface of engobe with whiteness index 75% and improvement of decorative properties of engobe.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of engobe.
