FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed steam engine consists of furnace chamber accommodating steam generator with inlet and outlet branch pipes brought out into evaporating chamber arranged over steam generator on body and filled with water to level controlled by level transmitter and connected by steam pipeline to piston chamber with piston set into motion by steam and converter transforming reciprocating motion of piston into rotating motion of working shaft, all arranged in L-shaped sectional body of engine Heat insulating chamber is formed between furnace and piston chambers which is separated by metal panel from piston chamber and is filled up with replaceable heat-insulating material and is provided with charge and discharge ports closed by gates. Evaporating chamber is installed over furnace chamber, inlet and outlet branch pipes of steam generator-coil are spaced over length of chamber and passed through common wall of body, being installed by means of couplers square to water mirror in evaporating chamber. Inlet branch pipe is fully dipped in water, and outlet branch pipe is lifted over water mirror, its outlet hole being arranged at distance equal to diameter of outlet branch pipe from ceiling of evaporating chamber.
EFFECT: provision of simple and economic engine capable of operating on solid, alternative liquid fuels and which can be used in small-scale mechanization as drive.
