FIELD: electric heating, in particular, resistive heating, namely, monolithic self-controlling metal-ceramic heating elements, possible use in various electric heating devices of both industrial and home use purposes.
SUBSTANCE: in the heating element which contains resistive element with positive temperature resistance coefficient, positioned in electro-isolating layer, heating resistive structure is made of composite material on basis of iron with specific resistance growing with increase of temperature from 100 to 200 mcOhm.m in form of a serpentine line with width d, consisting of linear sections, which have length not exceeding 10d, and are serially connected by rounded sections, where symmetry axes of resistive element coincide with symmetry axes of heating element, and aforementioned serpentine band of heating resistive element is positioned in electro-isolating layer, which follows its shape. The method for manufacturing aforementioned heating element includes manufacturing heating resistive element, forming electro-isolating layer around it, pressing and caking of heating element. Before caking of the product at least one additional layer is applied to predetermined sections of formed electro-isolating layer with additional pressing after application of each layer, and caking is performed after compression of resulting multi-layer structure. Total surface of resistive element may amount to from 40 to 60% of area of whole heating element. Resistive element may be made in form of serpentine band, positioned inside electro-isolating layer, which follows its shape.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
