FIELD: gas industry, in particular, technique used at compressor plants of main pipelines for fine cleaning of natural gas supplied from underground storages from dropping liquid and mechanical contaminants.
SUBSTANCE: natural gas cleaning filter has filtering member formed as perforated cylinder covered with hydrophobic material, bottom and cover. Hydrophobic material formed as needle-stitched web is wound onto cylinder and comprises mixture of thin, medium and coarse polyester fibers used in weight ratio of (70-80): (10-15):(10-15), respectively. Ratio of cylinder outer diameter to filter outer diameter is 1:(1.2-1.6). Fibers may be produced from Lavsan polyester. Filter of such structure has continuous service life greater than standard service life by 2-3 times.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in cleaning of gas, increased dust retention capacity and improved strength of filter.
