FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of means for cleaning gas media from foreign inclusions, in particular gaseous hydrocarbons from mechanical impurities and dropping liquid, and can be used in vertical and horizontal devices – separators, filters, filter separators, separators, separation sections of mass transfer columns, natural and associated (oil) gas treatment plants, compressor stations (CS) of main gas pipelines, underground gas storage stations (UGSS), gas processing plants and other objects of gas, oil and related industries. Filtering element contains a cylindrical perforated frame, inside or outside of which a replaceable filter insert is installed in the form of a hollow cylinder made of a multilayer fibrous-porous material with a porosity gradient, realizes a deep filtration mechanism with high dirt holding capacity and efficiency of separating dropping liquid, means of fastening the filter element on the equipment for the preparation and processing of gaseous hydrocarbons, means of supplying / discharging the cleaned hydrocarbon gas into the filter element installed at the end of the frame and communicated with the cavity of the filter insert.
EFFECT: increasing the life of the element by increasing its dirt holding capacity while simplifying the manufacture of the filter insert and expanding the scope of application by providing the ability to supply the medium being cleaned to one or the other surface of the filter material.
