FIELD: ventilation of mines or tunnels and distribution of ventilating currents, particularly in transport tunnels.

SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying fresh air and removing exhaust air through ventilation paths communicating tunnel with atmosphere. To create and regulate necessary air flow rate aerodynamic train resistance is changed inside tunnel by sealing area between train and tunnel wall by means of controllable gates connected to the train.

EFFECT: increased economical efficiency of ventilation operation in standard mode and improved people evacuation safety in the case of fire initiation in train.
