FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines; compressor drives.

SUBSTANCE: proposed automobile compressor contains crank mechanism with shaft set into rotation by crankshaft of internal combustion engine through timing gear cluster. Compressor drive contains additionally friction clutch with electromagnetic drive connected at one side with compressor shaft, and at other side with shaft of drive gear, pneumatic system maximum pressure pickup, and clutch electronic control device whose control input is connected with output of emergency oil pressure pickup in engine and pneumatic system maximum pressure indicator pickup.

EFFECT: improved starting of engine, reduced power losses in auxiliary drive.
