FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed axial-flow compressor for transportation of natural gas housing with vanes of guide assemblies and rotor with working blades. According to invention, values of tangential displacement of vanes of adjacent guide assemblies, ratio of pitches of cascades of adjacent working and guide assemblies, ratio of chords of vanes of adjacent guide assemblies and blades of working assemblies, logarithmic decrements of damping characterizing levels of internal, design and aerodynamic damping, characteristics of wear resistance of vanes and blades and other characteristics are defined by relations providing increased vibration and erosion stability at preservation of increased efficiency exceeding by 4-9% efficiency of centrifugal blowers and preservation of low mass and dimension characteristics which are 2-4 times lower than those of centrifugal blowers.
EFFECT: increased vibration and erosion stability of axial-flow compressor to level of centrifugal blowers (compressors) operated in main gas lines.
