FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining homocystein concentration in patient venous blood serum. The homocystein concentration being less than 10.4 mcmole/l, ischemic stroke is evaluated as one of low severity degree. The homocystein concentration being equal to 10.4-15.1 mcmole/l, ischemic stroke is evaluated as one of moderate severity degree. The homocystein concentration being greater than 15.1 mcmole/l, ischemic stroke is evaluated as one of high severity degree.
EFFECT: objective evaluation method applicable in acute disease period; enhanced effectiveness in selecting therapy scheme adjustment.
