SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology, neurology, and can be used to assess the risk of ischemic stroke. Following parameters are determined: stroke volume of heart by Starr’s formula (ml), cardiovascular endurance coefficient (standard units), specific peripheral vascular resistance (dyn⋅s/cm-5/m2), lymphocyte-granulocyte index (standard units), index of ratio of lymphocytes and monocytes (standard units), index of ratio of neutrophils and monocytes (standard units), Reis leukocyte intoxication index (standard units). Calculation of prognostic coefficients P1 and P2 is carried out by formulas: P1 = -61.0414+0.8819×Stroke volume of heart by Starr’s formula+1.4172×Cardiovascular endurance coefficient+0.0134×Specific peripheral vascular resistance+2.6959×Lymphocyte-granulocyte index+0.8515×Index of ratio of lymphocytes and monocytes-0.1332×Index of ratio of neutrophils and monocytes+7.7742×Reis leukocyte intoxication index; P2 = -94.3349+1.1817×Stroke volume of heart by Starr’s formula+1.8864×Cardiovascular endurance coefficient+0.0162×Specific peripheral vascular resistance+3.2415×Lymphocyte-granulocyte index+0.3226×Index of ratio of lymphocytes and monocytes+0.0341×Index of ratio of neutrophils and monocytes+6.7047×Reis leukocyte intoxication index. At P1>P2 predicts a high risk of ischemic stroke, and P1<P2 – low risk.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of increasing the accuracy and efficiency of assessing the risk of developing ischemic stroke by establishing risk factors based on the clinical and laboratory examination of the patient – central haemodynamic values, as well as leukocyte indices characterizing body response to developed inflammatory process in arterial walls.
