FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology, pharmacy.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes an ophthalmic composition comprising 0.005-3.0 wt.-% of ascomycin or its derivatives, such as FK506, 33-epichloro-33-deoxyascomycin and analogs of FK506 per the total mass of the composition that retain the basic structure of FK506 and possess immunological properties, and from 0.05 to 10 wt.-% of at least one polymer comprising copolymer or block-copolymer of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene and homo- or copolymer of acrylic acid per the total mass of the composition. Also, invention proposes using this composition in treatment of the immune system-mediated states of eye, for example, in treatment of "dry eye". The composition provides therapeutic effect on eye for 24 h and possesses good tolerance resulting to enhanced effectiveness and reproducibility of clinical result. Proposed composition is stable for 3 years.
EFFECT: improved and valuable medicinal and pharmaceutical properties of composition.
