FIELD: chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of tetrachloroethylene from organochlorine (C1-C2)-waste and recurrent tetrachloromethane by gas-phase conversion at temperature 450-6000C in the presence chlorine acceptor and chlorine excess in reaction gases 10-15 wt.-%. The process of gas-phase conversion is combined with exothermic reaction of exhausting chlorination of methane and/or chloromethane. Invention provides the autothermal process for utilization of liquid and gaseous organochlorine waste in manufacturing chloromethanes by combining with exothermic reaction of exhausting chlorination of methane and/or chloromethane resulting to preparing tetrachloroethylene as the end product and decreasing formation of high-boiling by-side organochlorine substances.

EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
