FIELD: optical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used for production of profiled configuration lenses from leucosapphire and from other single-axis crystals for optical systems of modern optical and electro-optical devices operating within visible and IR-red spectrum ranges. Method is based upon production of concave-convex blanks due to plastic bend deformation of plates made of Z-cut of Al2O3 crystals by punch in form of spherical segment. Optical axis of lens is oriented along axis of symmetry of blank. Entrance surface of lens is formed by means of methods of rejection of excess layer of material from blank. The surface has to be aspheric surface; it provides passage of parallel bundle of beams along optical axes after they had been refracted. Equation for axial section of aspheric surface in polar coordinate system has the following form: r=(R(n-1))/((n(1+tg2α)1/2-1)cosα, where r and α are parameters of polar coordinate system; n is refractivity of common beam; R is radius of surface of punch. Concave-convex lenses can be produced being free from double refraction and being transparent within 25000-2000 cm-1 range.
EFFECT: improved efficiency.
