FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied to making aspherical lenses, used in optical systems operating in ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectrum ranges. Method involves making workpiece in form of hemisphere or hemispherical segment by plastic deformation of plane-parallel plate of Z-cut crystal, formation of aspheric included surface of lens by removing material from workpiece according to equation of axial section of surface of following type:

where x1= x/R is coordinate coinciding with axis of symmetry and rotation axis, y1(x1) = y/R is coordinate perpendicular to x1, R is radius of included surface of lense workpiece, n1, n2 are refraction indices of ordinary ray at short-wave and long-wave boundaries of radiation wavelength, respectively. Concave surface of lens is hemisphere of radius r = R-h, where h is workpiece thickness.
EFFECT: technical result is receiving of minimum frequency dispersion of birefringence in range of material transparency for non-monochromatic light beam.
