FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves removing pancreas concurrently with adjacent duodenum portion being excised and end-to-end entero-enteroanastomosis being formed. First, left pancreas blade is mobilized and splenic and gastro-omental arteries are ligated. The pancreas is mobilized along the ascending duodenal region and main duct and branches of posterior duodenal artery are ligated. Then, the mobilized pancreas is removed with adjacent portion of descending duodenum portion. Rabbits are used as laboratory animals.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in studying endocrine disorders correction methods when removing pancreas.
