FIELD: the mode of automatic tracking of a target according to speed may be used in pulse-Doppler locators with a quasi-continuous signal.

SUBSTANCE: the technical result of expansion of the zone of the speeds of the tracked targets is achieved due to the fact, that in the receiver of a radar station with a single band filter in a gating receiving channel the signal of the intermediate frequency of the target with a Doppler shifting is converted with the aid of a controlled heterodyne into a signal of a fixed frequency, it is picked up with the aid of a narrow band filter and converted into an error signal of constant voltage with the aid of which they control the heterodyne so that the frequency of the heterodyne has the Doppler frequency of the target signal, the control over the heterodyne is executed along the central spectral component of the detailed narrow band filter of the target signal in the transmission band of the single band filter whose Doppler tracking frequency is true; in a "dead-zone" according to the speed defined by plus-first spectral components of passive interferences, the control over the heterodyne is executed with higher repetition frequencies of the sounding impulses of the radar station.

EFFECT: expands the zone of the speeds of tracked targets.
