FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: increased precision of tracking is achieved thanks to improvement of signal-to-noise ratio provided by narrowing of range of frequency spectrum of Doppler return signal formed in radar by echo signal of tracked target. This is reached by formation of modified Doppler frequency as difference between value of Doppler frequency of tracked target determined by data from automatic range finder and central frequency of specified band of frequencies of spectrum of Doppler echo signal formed in radar. Frequency of signal of tracked target formed in radar is compared with central and boundary frequencies of specified frequency band. If frequency of compared signal is outside of specified band result of comparison as difference between frequency of formed Doppler echo signal and central frequency of specified frequency band is algebraically summed up with present modified Doppler frequency till frequency of Doppler echo signal enters specified band. After this result of summing corresponding to this situation is memorized and is used as summand in summing with specified difference of frequencies. In this case total result of summing of frequencies is used for control over frequency of repetition of scanning pulses of radar. EFFECT: increased precision of target tracking. 3 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
