FIELD: electromechanical engineering; high-speed commutator machines characterized in severe commutation conditions and induced-air cooling system.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrical-machine brush gear has commutator, brush installed in brush-holder body, hold-down mechanism, and pressure mechanism; brush is tightly fitted to commutator in radial direction by means of hold-down mechanism and to down-coming wall of brush-holder body, in tangential direction. Pressure mechanism is made in the form of air intake installed on oncoming wall of brush-holder body; oncoming wall of the latter is provided with through hole. Outlet end of air intake is joined with oncoming wall of brush-holder body, outlet hole of air intake is aligned with oncoming wall hole in brush-holder body, and outlet end of air intake opposes air flow of induced-air cooling system. Measures are taken to prevent brush seizure in brush-holder body and to create directional air flow in brush gear.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability, reduced (one-degree) arcing in commutator-machine sliding contact.
