SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, architecture of IP multimedia subsystem for IP multimedia services is provided for given user equipment; gate support node (GGSN), configured for controlling transmission of packets from/to given user equipment; and a function serving as intermediary for controlling call session (P-CSCF), configured to be used as first contact point of user equipment and to provide session control services, including setup of packet data transmission protocol context for procedures related to IP multimedia subsystem signaling, registration and other procedures for IP multimedia subsystem sessions. P-CSCF is also configured for storage of identification information from given user equipment in memory during registration, receipt of SIP (session initialization protocol) message from given user equipment, comparison of identification information in the SIP message to identification information, stored with a link to functional block for taking policy decision (PDF) and usage of one and the same PDF for all operations of given user equipment, when identification information in SIP message coincides with identification information stored in memory.

EFFECT: ensured compatibility between functional objects of IP multimedia subsystem.
