SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. The method of processing replies to a message in a communication system involves steps on which a message is sent from a first party to a second party. A reply to the message is then sent, containing at least one parametre which violates policy when establishing communication sessions between the first party and the second party. A network controller can detect that the reply contains at least one parametre which violates policy, after which this parametre is changed in accordance with that policy.
