FIELD: method and equipment for separation of embryos from corn grains.
SUBSTANCE: method involves using apparatus having rotor furnished with processing tools, stator having processing tools, and sieves embracing rotor so as to define processing zone; preliminarily cleaning grains; separating embryos from grains directly or after wetting of grain surfaces; performing embryo separation process in processing zone delimited at side of stator by means of cutoff planks and halves of netted basket positioned between said planks so as to fully embrace rotor with cutoff planks in axial direction. Roll positioned for rotation within netted basket has projections.
EFFECT: efficient and simplified separation of embryos from corn grains.
