FIELD: processes for finishing rolled pieces, namely shears for shearing strips by measured-length pieces.
SUBSTANCE: shears include different-diameter drums in which cutters are mounted at mutual overlapping. Diameter of upper drum exceeds that of lower drum. Cutting edge of upper cutter is inclined relative to horizon. At shearing process upper cutter is arranged after lower cutter (in strip motion direction). Circles of shearing of shears have radiuses determining range of length values of cut sheets. Inclination angle to horizon of cutting edge of upper cutter is in range 1 - 2°.
EFFECT: increased useful life period of tool, lowered manufacturing expenses at shearing steel strips by measured length pieces.
