FIELD: food containers having volume of up to 7,000 cm³ and designed specially for honey.

SUBSTANCE: barrel has set of hoops, rope twine with fixing nodes at ends and hollow locking device, rigid loop, sealing wax for flushing, corporate cover having invoice perimeter of circle for perforated stamp impression and provided with capping cone having length equal to thickness of upper bottom and diameter of at least 90 mm. In cover mid portion, there is through opening for twine, at inner side there is round slot for placing of twine fixing nodes therein, and at outer side from center to periphery there is longitudinal slot for flush placement and withdrawal of twine onto cover end for placing to intersection point for providing smooth flushing with sealing wax. Stave blank for barrel has transverse-rectilinear saw-cuts of rectangular shape extending over the entire length thereof, arranged at predetermined interval and having predetermined depth, said predetermined values being selected for increasing amount of deflection through the entire length thereof. Barrel staves, whole bottoms and cover are impregnated at their inner side with propolis solution, are covered, and transverse-rectilinear saw-cuts are filled, with bee wax and polished to dull luster, and are treated at their outer side with hot liquid caustic soda.

EFFECT: provision for keeping of nutrient properties and biochemical composition of bee honey regardless of storage time thereof.
