SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary plowing of soil root layer by deep undercutting of soil layer without turning and deformation of soil layer; providing soil separation and extraction of rootstocks and roots during subsequent pass of U-shaped working tool along track made during previous pass by lifting of undercut soil layer and by periodically striking raised soil layer from the bottom to the top by detents of rotor; laying licorice rootstocks and roots onto surface of tilled soil strip and returning soil aggregates to the initial position. Machine has frame, share, separator and rotor. Share is made U-shaped. U-shaped separator is equipped with inclined lifters and is positioned behind share. Rotor has drive and detents with rim.
