FIELD: devices for gasifying solid fuels.
SUBSTANCE: fuel is loaded into reactor 1 by means of loading unit 2. Solid fuel may be in form of lumpy coal, wood, peat. Multi-stage gasifier has stages 5, 6 and 7 which includes devices 8, 9 and 10 for ignition and stabilization of combustion of fuel. These devices are located in each subsequent stage below previous one by 0.5-1.5 diameters of reactor. First stage 5 is used for drying, pyrolysis and partial combustion of fuel. At upper boundary of thermal spot of second stage 6, oxygen formed due to decomposition of steam is fully burnt out. Carbon residue is subjected to afterburning and absorption on third stage 7. Synthesis gas is evacuated from gasifier through device 4. Each stage is provided with steam supply device 19, 20 or 21 located below devices 8, 9 or 10 for ignition and combustion stabilization. Devices for ignition and combustion stabilization may be provided with circular manifolds 12, 14 or 15 connected with burners 11.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; simplified construction of gasifier; complete combustion of lumpy fuel with no preliminary preparation.
