FIELD: fire alarms included in distributed control systems, which protect large extended volumes against fire.
SUBSTANCE: fire alarm is triggered by temperature transferred from fire site. Fire alarm device comprises ultrasound pulse generator linked to emitting piezoacoustic transducer connected to one end of heat-sensitive member. The heat-sensitive member is heat-resistant pipe filled with fusible material (alloy) used as acoustic communication line. Receiving piezoacoustic transducer is linked to the second end of heat-sensitive member. The receiving piezoacoustic transducer has output linked to information processing and control unit through amplifier. The information processing and control unit controls ultrasound pulse generation. Device has signaling unit. As fire occurs fusible material passes from a solid to a liquid state. Information processing and control unit records change in acoustic conductivity of communication line and generates signal for alarm device triggering and fire fighting initiation.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of fire site localization, responsiveness and reliability.
