FIELD: electrical engineering, in particular, electric motors.
SUBSTANCE: the electric motor has a stator with a toothed magnetic core with a winding and a brush holder. The rotor is made with a toothed magnetic core without a winding, device for connection of the brush holder sliding contacts, whose quantity equals the number of winding phases plus one common contact connected to the supply wire. The rotor carries a device with alternating surfaces of conducting and non-conducting material positioned so that at a turn of the rotor through two contacts the stator winding phase, which will provide rotor rotation in the preset direction, would be connected to the supply source. Damper circuits are connected in parallel with each phase of the winding.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and reduced cost of the electric motor construction.
