MILLIMETER WAVELENGTH RANGE MICROWAVE TRANSMITTER OF INCREASED OUTPUT POWER Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H04B1/04

Abstract RU 2722422 C1

FIELD: radio equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in radar for creation of pulse small-size transmitting devices with high resolution both for use in aircrafts, and for use in mobile and stationary objects. Microwave transmitter comprises, among other things, a traveling-wave tube (TWT) and a high-voltage power supply, a pulse transformer, a commutator and anode rectifiers, a PWM controller, the key and a damper of which form a flyback voltage converter. Said voltage converter also comprises protection device for exceeding average and pulse current of anode TWT. In the microwave transmitter of TWT, modulator and low-potential cascades of the transmitter it is carried out from the stabilized power supply source. Temperature sensor is designed to protect the TWT transmitter from overheating, and the output power monitoring is performed by means of an output power indicator consisting of a comparator, a reference voltage source and a shaper.

EFFECT: increasing output pulse power and reducing mass and dimensions characteristics of a microwave transmitter operating in a millimeter wave band in a wide band of operating frequencies.
