FIELD: communication systems.

SUBSTANCE: device and method are claimed for transmitting supporting signal in orthogonal frequency division multi-access (OFDMA) communication system, wherein common frequency band is divided onto a set of sub-carrier bands. Multiplexer with time division performs multiplexing with time division in such a way, that supporting signal is transferred for first duration in predetermined number of bands of sub-carriers from a set of sub-carrier bands, and signal, different from supporting signal, is transferred for second duration, different from first duration. Transmitter transfers sub-carrier band signals multiplexed with time division.

EFFECT: improved transmission/receipt of pilot-signals through uplink.
