METHOD FOR DETECTING ACID-FORMING FUNCTION OF STOMACH Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B5/04

Abstract RU 2315554 C1

FIELD: medicine, reflexodiagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to detect topographic distribution of skin electric resistance at external surface of concha auriculae in segments corresponding to central nervous system, determine complex function of distribution of tonic activity along spinal axis in the system of M-cholinoreceptors of epithelial tissue of inner organs (F5) in relative units, apply right and left branches of the function that reflects functional activity of M-cholinoreceptors in the epithelium of gastrointestinal tract mucosa (F5-3). At the first stage, one should detect the value that characterizes background secretory acid-forming function of stomach. For this purpose, it is necessary to determine maximal range between the values of its negative and positive extremums (D) marked at the graph of left branch of the function. After that, in thoracic segment Th7 one should estimate the difference between the values in graphs of right and left branches of F5-3 function (P). Moreover, the product of the mentioned parameters by taking into account the sign should be applied as a value that characterizes background secretory acid-forming function of stomach. Values being above +3.6 show hyperacidal state of stomach, values ranged -2.9 to +3.5 illustrate its normacidal state, values being below -3.0 depict its hypoacidal state. For specifying the value that characterizes background secretory acid-forming function of stomach as hypoacidal or normacidal state one should affect the activity of glandular apparatus of stomach with pharmacological preparation that stimulates its activity. Some time later it is important to carry out measurements once again. In case when background value corresponds to hyperacidal state and repeated value is decreased or slightly increased one should prove the conclusion on hyperacidal state. If background value corresponds to normacidal state and repeated value doesn't go beyond the limits of the declared norm one should prove the conclusion on normacidal state of secretory acid-forming function of stomach. If background value ranges -3.0 up to -4.0 and repeated value lies within the declared range one should conclude upon a tendency to hypoacidal state. Moreover, if background value ranges -4.1 up to -7.0 and control value doesn't come beyond limits of the declared range one should conclude upon subanacidal state. If background value is below -7.1 and control value lies within the limits of the declared range or is decreased more and more it is possible to state upon anacidal state. For specifying the value that characterizes background secretory acid-forming function of stomach as hyperacidal state it is necessary to affect the activity of glandular apparatus of stomach with pharmacological preparation that suppresses its activity. Some time later one should detect the value that characterizes secretory acid-forming function of stomach once again. If value ranges +5.5 up to +3.6 and in control becomes lower or lies within the limits of the mentioned range one should prove the conclusion upon hyperacidal state. If background values of the mentioned parameter are above +5.6 and in control are considerably lower or are practically the same one should prove the conclusion upon pronounced hyperacidal state. If background value ranges -2.9 up to +3.5 and in control lies within the limits of the declared norm it is possible to prove the conclusion upon normacidal state. If background value is below -3.0 and control value lies within the limits of the declared range one should prove the conclusion upon hypoacidal state.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of diagnostics.
