SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis and isolation of dinitriles of the general formula: NC-R-CN (I) wherein radical R means saturated hydrocarbon radical with 2-10 carbon atoms from medium obtained after hydrocyanidation of unsaturated mononitriles. Method involves carrying out the hydrocyanidation reaction of unsaturated mononitriles in the presence of catalytic system to form medium containing dinitriles; charging medium containing dinitriles into distillation column; extraction of compounds of a lower boiling point as compared with that of dinitriles from head part of column; extraction of intermediate fraction containing dinitriles from theoretical plate arranged in a bottom part of column with respect to place wherein dinitrile-containing medium is added, and extraction products of a higher boiling point as compared with that of dinitriles from a column base. Method provides preparing dinitriles with a low content of impurities.
