SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for hydrocyanation of a hydrocarbon compound having an unsaturated ethylene-type bond by reacting with hydrogen cyanide in a liquid medium in the presence of a catalyst containing a metal element selected from transition metals and an organophosphorus ligand. The organophosphorus ligand contains at least one compound of general formula

in which Z denotes a thienyl, pyrryl or pyridyl group, n denotes an integer from 1 to 3, m denotes an integer from 0 to 5, the radical R1 denotes a hydrogen atom, a linear or branched alkyl radical which can contain heteroatoms having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic or cycloaliphatic radical which can contain heteroatoms, a carbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl or alkoxyl radical, a halogen atom, a nitrile group or a haloalkyl group containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms.
EFFECT: method improves linearity of obtained products.
