FIELD: high-temperature power reactors cooled with finely dispersed solids.
SUBSTANCE: proposed reactor has vessel accommodating reactor core with coolant passages between fuel elements and fuel assemblies, finely dispersed solid coolant of graphite-containing material in the form of spherical particles, coolant bin disposed above reactor core, secondary heat exchangers with tube banks, device for conveying coolant over core-secondary-heat-exchanger closed circuit, and device for controlling coolant speed trough core. Heat exchangers are disposed in same vessel as core below the latter. Solid coolant is moving over outer surface of tube banks and secondary coolant, within tube banks; pipelines of secondary coolant header are brought out of reactor vessel through wall of the latter. Disposed below reactor core in front of heat exchangers is multiple-hole gate valve whose calibrated holes are characterized in liner size of minimum 20dm, where dm is mean diameter of heat-carrying particle. Total area of diaphragm holes amounts to 0.98-0.80 of coolant flow section area in reactor core.
