FIELD: personal computer and television receiver hardware, possible use as a monitor and television set screen.
SUBSTANCE: result is achieved by using light diodes of three main colors R, G, B in screen cells as emitters and usage of "code to emission brightness" transformation. Three channels of color signals are introduced into wide screen, each one of which includes code accumulator and impulse generators block, and the screen consists of light diode cells, each one of which includes a matrix of light diodes, micro-lens, matrix includes a number of light diodes of each one of main colors equal to number of bits in code, and each light diode has neutral light filter, density of which is determined by association of light diode with corresponding binary bit of code.
EFFECT: reduced response time of screen cells practically to zero (dozens of nanoseconds) and reproduction of image in personal computer resolution modes 1024×768, 1280×1024, 1600×1200 and HDTV television format 1080×1920 on a wide screen of 178 inches and above.
