FIELD: fodder production.
SUBSTANCE: the suggested innovation refers to applying coarse and succulent fodders, combined feedstuffs, milk, milk substitute and peas treated up to 105-160°C. The novelty deals with the fact that peas should be introduced starting since the 10th d of life in calves at the quantity ranged 80%-36.6% against the mass of dry matter of the main diet, moreover, peas should be treated due its boiling for 3 h. Application of the present way of feeding enables to shorten the terms of rearing in cattle youngsters thrice against conventional method along with increased average daily body weight gain from 900-1000 g up to 2000-2100 g and obtaining body weight of 400 kg in 6-7-mo-aged calves. Moreover, cost price of rearing has been decreased.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
