FIELD: industrial microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel strain of microorganism used for treatment of sewages in by-product coke industry from organic compounds. The strain of microorganism Desulfovibrio sp. SVB-1 is isolated from sewage in by-product coke industry and deposited in All-Russian collection of microorganisms of Institute of Biology and Physiology of microorganisms Russian Academy of Science at registration number VKM B-2284 D. The strain of microorganism Desulfovibrio sp. VKM B-2284 D can be used for treatment of sewage in by-product coke industry from organic compounds with high degree of effectiveness.
EFFECT: enhanced and valuable properties of strain.
