FIELD: electrical engineering; laboratory training instruments for course of physics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed unit has Hall sensor, electromagnet, DC supply whose plus terminal is connected through series-interconnected first switch, ammeter, and rheostat to first current input of Hall sensor and minus terminal, to second current input of Hall sensor and to first input of electromagnet coil. Toroid is mounted on first post in spaced relation within core. First input of toroid coil is connected to plus terminal of DC supply and second one, through second switch to its minus terminal. Second post is mounted on support whereto one end of probe is loosely joined. Other end of probe mounts Hall sensor. Connecting leads are brought out from current and Hall electrodes of Hall sensor to connector and are passed through probe and flexible hose. First input of stepping rheostat is connected to plus terminal of DC supply through third switch. Fixed contacts of stepping-rheostat resistor selector switch are connected to respective resistors of stepping rheostat, and movable contact is connected to second input of electromagnet coil. Voltmeter input terminals are connected through plug connector to Hall-effect electrodes of Hall sensor. One input of pilot lamp is connected to stepping rheostat input and other one, to minus terminal of DC supply.
