HIGH-SPEED CIRCUIT BREAKER CONTACT SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC H01H73/04

Abstract RU 2316842 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering; protective circuit-opening devices.

SUBSTANCE: proposed contact system has fixed and movable contacts, fixed-contact arcing horn, and series blow-out coil. Arcing horn is electrically insulated from fixed contact; one lead of series blow-out coil is series-connected to fixed contact and its other lead is connected to arcing horn. Such design eliminates power loss in blow-out coil when current flows through closed fixed and movable contacts.

EFFECT: reduced material input in series blow-out coil at same size.
