SUBSTANCE: protecting cover comprises main lid for partial overlapping the opening for permitting access to the friction braking member. The main lid has means for fastening the braking members to the holder with U-shaped bolt that is connected with the brake jaw and passes transversely to the opening. The main lid abuts against a part of the outer surface of the brake jaw that partially embraces the opening. The disk brake unit has brake jaw provided with opening for permitting access to the friction brake members and protecting cover.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
