SUBSTANCE: protective shield comprises braking disk mounted on the shaft of the wheel of a vehicle and brake jaw provided with a pair of brake suspensions, means for mounting the shield in the vicinity of the brake disk, protecting plate, and member of fastening cantilever that supports the plate. The member is provided with faces that cooperate with the fastening lugs made in the brake suspensions. The protecting plate and member are made separately and then are assembled. The disk brake unit comprises brake jaw provided with a pair of brake suspensions and protecting shield. The brake is suspended with fastening lugs made in protecting shield.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
