FIELD: rehabilitation of soils, including podsolic soils polluted with heavy natural radionuclides.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes introduction of radionuclide sorbents into soil in effective amount considering sorbing characteristics and degree of soil pollution, soil decontamination, and extraction of sorbent with nuclides from soil. Pending introduction into soil sorbent is packed in soft bags made of polypropylene cloth of 17 g/m2 density.Packed sorbent is introduced in soil through subsoil depth and soil is decontaminated by immobilizing radionuclides in sorbent; the latter is extracted by removing sorbent bags with immobilized nuclides from subsoil. Used as sorbent is hydrolytic lignin (waste of lumber complex in hydrolysis industry).

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of soil rehabilitation on large areas, facilitated procedures of sorbent introduction and radionuclide extraction.
