SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to carry out ultrasound investigation of right cardiodiaphragmatic angle in a patient's vertical position with the help of a sector sensor unit at frequency of 3.5-5.0 MHz. At first, one should fulfill transverse scanning from under xiphoid process at the direction of scanning axis towards right shoulder or from the right parasternally from intercostals area being above the site of costal arch fixation towards the sternum. It is important to detect additional formation between diaphragmatic cupola and the heart. In case of longitudinal scanning the sensor unit should be shifted downwards to observe the connection of the present formation with preperitoneal fatty fiber. One should conclude upon abdominomediastinal lipoma in case of the presence of hypoechogenic triangular formation at heterogeneous structure due to a lot of multiple linear echogenic signals, being capsule-free and having the connection with preperitoneal fatty fiber. The innovation provides the detection of curative tactics in due time, enables to decrease radiation loading upon a patient and medicinal personnel.
