FIELD: separation engineering.
SUBSTANCE: settling centrifuge comprises housing, rotor, drive for the rotor, and casing provided with the lid. The rotor is mounted on the vertical axle and has charging opening for supplying the initial mixture. The discharging opening for discharging light fractions and withdrawing the heavy fractions from the separation zone underlies the lid. The discharging opening is made in the bottom of the rotor and is in a coincidence with the central opening in the axle of the rotor. The casing of the rotor is in a coincidence with the hopper for supplying of the initial mixture to charging openings.
EFFECT: simplified design and reduced labor consumption for servicing.
