BENDING ELECTROMAGNETIC MACHINE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC B21D5/00 

FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely manufacture of container blanks with given values of bending up angles of lateral walls.

SUBSTANCE: machine for producing container blanks with bending up angles of lateral walls in range 0 - 180° includes electromagnetic die used for fixing blank and pressure die selected from set of such dies depending upon product to be made. Collars are rotary ones; each collar includes П-shaped bracket mounted with possibility of rotation in axle and balance beam joined by its one end with said bracket. Bracket in axle is rigidly secured to body of electromagnetic die. Other end of balance beam forms sliding joint in groove along part of circumference of guide mounted in vertical wall of punch. The last is made with possibility of bending blank by angle 180° after performing bending operation by angle equal approximately to 135° without using pressure die.

EFFECT: improved reliability of blank fixation.
