FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: diaphragm drive comprises housing, lid, diaphragm provided with the stop washers and interposed between the lid and the housing, and rod movably mounted inside the lid. The diaphragm is spring-loaded with respect to the housing from below by means of plate springs. The screw is interposed between the rod and diaphragm. The collar of the screw abuts against the bushing secured to the bearing washers. The threaded end engages the threaded opening in the rod. The rod is spring-loaded with respect to the screw. The bushing and rod is locked against rotation. The space between the face of the screw and the housing is less than the value of deformation of the plate springs.
